Research Skills

Information Literacy or developing your "Research Skills" is.....

having the knowledge and skills to know what information you need, when you need it, where to get it, the ability to choose what is relevant and accurate, what to do with that information and how to correctly say where you got that information.

In this guide you will find hints and tips, resources and advice on getting organising your research, how to effectively search online, evaluating sources found and then how to record and reference sources used.

It's always worth knowing this stuff but even more crucial when you move on to Higher Education. Marks get deducted for incorrect referencing (bibliographies) and ALL work handed in gets checked for plagiarism.
