CTE in Middle School: A Journey of Discovery
For our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, CTE is all about exploration. We want to give them a chance to "try on" different career fields to see what fits their personality and passions. This process helps answer the question every student asks: “Why do I need to learn this?” By exploring, students gain confidence and a better understanding of their own strengths and interests.

About me
Ms. Whitsett has been an educator for the last 4 years, with the last 3 being at DMS. I do reside in Waverly, but found my home as an educator at Dickson Middle School. I graduated from WCHS in 2012 and attended APSU until 2016, where I finished my education degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2020. I am the head coach for the Lady Dragons basketball team and will also be the assistant coach for the Lady Dragons flag football team. In my free time, I love to train and work with my three dogs, go kayaking, fishing, and do outdoor work.
