Some boats could hold 20, 30, and even 40 rocks. The kids thought critically and tried to pick an assortment of rocks - small and medium. Some even picked large rocks to test the strength of their boat.

Some students had difficulties with their box/pinball and they decided to make a change by cutting a portion of the box and/or lean their box at an angle to help their force (rubber band and strength of their hand) move the rubber band to push ball more.

We learned about gravity. We had a science experiment where the students decided how to protect their egg. The students drew and labeled their design. The students used their design to build their creation to keep their egg intact when the egg was dropped. We used different types of materials - cotton balls, cups, aluminum foil, toilet paper tubes, paper towels, paper towel tubes, tissues, cardboard, string, balloon, lots of tape, scissors, etc. We had FUN!

Have you ever wanted to go to outer space? Have you ever wanted to build a space ship or a Rover?
We learned a little about Mars. We read. We listened to sounds from Mars. We compared Mars and Earth. We BUILT our own rovers to keep our astronauts (marshmallows) safe. We had FUN!
