Welcome to 8th Grade!

The Douglas County School System invites parents to help their future eighth-grade students prepare with these fun resources. Students are encouraged to practice reading, writing, and math each day AND to choose at least one other subject to practice.

Every Day- Choose a Core Subject and Read

Students should read and/or be read to for 15-20 minutes EVERY DAY.

Keep your kids’ emotional health in tip-top shape this summer! Every Respectful Ways course comes with a Home Connects printout (in English and Spanish) to help parents and guardians engage directly with their students’ social-emotional learning.

Georgia Home Classroom is a collaboration between GPB Education and the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to support at-home learning for students in Pre-K through 12th grade.
