Orientation and Mobility
Orientation and Mobility Services are defined under IDEA as services provided to blind or visually impaired students by qualified personnel to enable the student to attain systematic orientation to, and safe movement within their home, school and community environments. Orientation is the knowledge of your body, where you are in space, where you are going, and how to get there. Mobility is moving through space in an efficient and safe manner. Orientation and Mobility is considered a related service.
