A beautiful trip to Europe. This is the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany.
This summer we went to Cozumel for a week of rest and relaxation.
Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am so excited to spend the year with your kindergartener! Watching your child grow physically, socially, and academically is truly one of my favorite things about teaching. We will work hard every day to do our best, learn about the world around us, and have lots of fun along the way!
My journey to Summit View began in Ohio, where I grew up outside of Cleveland with my two brothers. I pursued my passion for education at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, earning my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. My teaching career started in Virginia, just south of Washington D.C., where I taught fourth grade for three years. After meeting my wonderful husband, we moved to Utah. I taught at a private school there until we welcomed our son, RJ. Two years later, our daughter, Claire, was born here in Colorado. I cherished nine years at home with my children before returning to the classroom at St. Luke's Little School in Highlands Ranch. After seven fulfilling years teaching preschool, I was thrilled to join the Summit View community as a kindergarten teacher in 2017.
I feel incredibly lucky that my passion and career have come together so perfectly. Although those little bodies certainly keep me on my toes some days, I absolutely love my job!
I am a widow and have two amazing young adult children. My son, RJ, is 26 and works as a credit analyst at a local bank. My daughter, Claire, is 23 and is currently attending the Medical University of South Carolina for her master's degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I've recently taken up Mahjong, which can sometimes be a bit of a brain workout, but I really enjoy playing! I also find relaxation in completing 300-750 piece puzzles. And, of course, I love coming home to the enthusiastic greetings of my two dogs, Gus and Bo!
