I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Gretchen Seffron, and I am currently a Special Education teacher for students with educational and social/emotional needs at Pine Lane Elementary in Parker, Colorado. I am also a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). It was my responsibility to communicate with the general education classroom teacher, as well as maintain a positive home-school connection to ensure academic success and social/emotional growth.
I am from the Western Slope, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Science from Colorado Mesa University. I have lived in Littleton with my husband, Bob Seffron, a South Metro Firefighter, for over 25 years. I earned my Master's in Education with a teaching certificate along with a Special Education Endorsement from Regis University. For the past twenty-plus years, I have worked as a General Education classroom teacher as well as a Learning Specialist, where I was exposed to students in grades K-6 and taught students with many different learning styles. I also have experience in teaching gifted and talented curriculum and differentiating for twice exceptional students.
My overall goal is to develop a great relationship with students and parents to ensure that my time will be purposeful in meeting not only their learning needs, but also meeting and exceeding their educational goals, while addressing each student's social/emotional needs. I look forward to meeting with all of you. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
