Welcome to the PCE B.A.S.E. Summer Program!
We’re so excited to have your child joining us for a fun and adventure-filled summer!
Please be sure to check the summer calendar daily for important details, including lunch information, field trip times, activity details, waiver links, and any special items your child may need. The website will also be updated weekly with reminders and updates.
Program Hours & Location
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
July 1–15 → BASE will temporarily be held at Cherokee Trail Elementary due to construction at Prairie Crossing Elementary
Daily Essentials
Labeled water bottle
At least 2 snacks every day
Lunch on days it is not provided (check the calendar daily)
Dress for the Day
Dress for activities and weather
Wear comfortable shoes for field trips and active play
No toys or electronics from home
Program Cost
Summer care is $35 per day + activity fees
When signing up for days, you will see an asterisk (*) next to the date showing the activity planned for that day along with any additional fee being charged on top of the $35 daily rate
BASE Shirts
A BASE shirt must be worn on all field trip days
If your child does not have a BASE shirt yet, please order one as soon as possible
Sunscreen
A face stick sunscreen is required for every child
Please bring a labeled sunscreen stick (it will stay at school)
Each child must have their own sunscreen stick
Please apply sunscreen before drop-off (we will reapply throughout the day)
Swim Days
Arrive in a swimsuit already on
Bring a towel
Bring a change of clothes
Apply sunscreen before drop-off (we will reapply throughout the day)
Field Trips & Waivers
A DCSD waiver is required for all field trips
One waiver must be completed for each week your child attends
On the waiver, you will select all the days your child will attend that week
If a venue requires an additional waiver, it will be attached to that same link on the calendar
All waivers can be found directly on the summer calendar
Registration Reminder
If your child is registered for the 25/26 school year, that registration is only valid through June 30
In order to attend any days starting July 1 and after, your child must be registered for the 26/27 school year
