The mission of Sage Canyon is to foster a supportive and challenging school community that fuels A CONTAGIOUS SPARK for learning and recognizes students as unique individuals. As a school we follow the Wrangler STAR Code.

Students are expected to exhibit STAR behavior in all areas of the school (classroom, connections, lunchroom, hallway, recess, etc). For STAR behavior they can earn a Wrangler Star. After receiving 10 stars they will go to the office to earn a prize.
Our classroom behavior management program is a weekly STAR behavior sheet. If a student is not following one of our school expectations I will put a note in the appropriate box (S, T, A, or R) on the appropriate day. For example: If a student is not doing what they should be doing they would get a note in the accountable box for that day.
Each day students can earn 4 points (one for each letter of STAR). They will earn one point for each box they do not have a note in. On Thursdays students will add up their points and bring home their charts for you to see. Please sign their chart, discuss any behavior issues, and have your child return the chart to class on Friday for their reward/rewards. Every Friday the students will receive a new chart for Fri-Thurs.
