Mrs. Thornton's Class

Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Kristen Thornton and I am excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher. This is my 11th year teaching in Douglas County. I have also taught for the College of Education at Grand Canyon University. 

4th grade is such a pivotal year for students. They are becoming more independent and are taking responsibility for their learning. You will watch your child mature right before your eyes this year!

I am a firm believer in strong communication and collaboration between home and school. Please reach out to me at any time to let me know how your child is doing personally, emotionally, etc. We will work together this year to help your child thrive.
