Year long – 1 Credit. Open to all students, 9th-12th grade.
No audition necessary (however Mr. Hizer will need to hear your voice individually to know what voice part you will be singing).
Concert Choir is an entry-level mixed ensemble made up of young singers of any vocal range. This course will include mostly three-part singing, emphasizing a cappella as well as accompanied repertoire. Vocal production and music fundamentals will be stressed. Members will study and perform music of all types, from differing periods of time. Comprehensive musicianship will be developed, including sight reading, listening, creating music, music theory and relating music to other disciplines and cultures.
All performances are REQUIRED.
Concert attire expense is the responsibility of the student. If this is a concern please talk to Mr. Hizer, and we will figure out a solution within our choir resources.
