FIFTH GRADE:

Melissa Hamby

As a member of the Legacy Point team, I am very excited about the year. I have a wonderful husband, John, three beautiful girls, Parker, Presley, and Pearson. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, curling up with a good book, and acting silly with my family.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. After 19 years of teaching, finding new and innovative ways to help students learn is still very important, especially with today's advancement in technology. We will be weaving the use of technology into the classroom to enhance student learning. 

I am very excited to be a part of the Legacy Point community and anticipate a year full of memorable experiences.

Nicholas Nassimbene

I am thrilled to be joining 5th grade classroom at Legacy Point Elementary. I have been a member of the Legacy Point family for 3 years as a STEM teacher, STEAM teacher, and a substitute teacher. 

Before I became a teacher I spent 16 years working as a controls engineer in the metal container industry. I graduated from Ponderosa High School and before that attended Sagewood Middle School, Northeast Elementary, and Mountain View Elementary. I have a daughter in the 7th grade at Sagewood and a son in the 5th grade at Legacy Point. My wife also works at Legacy Point as a kindergarten teacher. In my free time I love to hike, read, and travel with my family. I am excited for the many adventures ahead!
