Warm-ups: The audition will begin with some simple warm-ups to test the singers range and how they transition through the different parts of their voice.
Prepared Piece: The prepared piece will be handed out with part tracks a few weeks before auditions. Each student auditioning is responsible for learning their own part before the audition.
Tonal Recall: A melody will be played for each student twice and they will sing it back. This is used to assess a students ability to recall pitches and rhythms quickly.
Melodic and Rhythmic Sight Reading: We will use Sight Reading Factory to generate different sight readings. The student will have 30 seconds for both sight reading examples to practice before they sing it.
