Welcome! My name is Lisa Busman. I’m happy to return to Heritage as a part-time gifted and talented facilitator. I work in collaboration with each classroom teacher to focus on specific learning goals based on each student's individual needs. I will be meeting with students to work on ALP goals and helping to support teachers in providing the best strategies for our gifted learners. We will both work together to be their advocate in supporting their Advanced Learning Plan throughout the year.
I received my Master’s Degree in Education in Diverse Learners from the University of Phoenix. In 1995 I began teaching gifted and talented children in Jefferson County, Littleton, and Aurora Public Schools. In 1999, I began teaching in Douglas County where I worked with gifted and talented students in the classroom. During my twenty five years in Douglas County, I have taught students in 2nd-6th grade at Northeast Elementary and Stone Mountain Elementary.
