"Unselfie" was offered as both a Parent and Teacher book study during the 2019-2020 school year. Both groups found the research included here staggering; knowing the numbers around how empathic behaviors have shifted over the years calls us all to change! In 3 parts over 9 chapters, Dr. Michele Borba walks readers through how to cultivate empathy in today's youth, including the development of a moral identity and how to instill perspective-taking in today's children. How could our community change if we were all operating from this playbook? And what are the social implications for students who have the empathy advantage?
