This will be my seventh year as the reading specialist at Fox Creek. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have also taught 1st and 2nd grade in Douglas County. It is a privilege working with students to strengthen various literacy skills in small groups and watching them grow as readers.
I desire for kids to be seen, heard and known. Through this authentic connection, my desired impact is to instill a deep passion for reading and for kids to see themselves as confident, capable readers.
I believe children’s literacy grows best when the child, parents and the teachers all work together. Reading with and to your child every day is one of the best ways you can support your child at home. It is a privilege to work with your child and I am looking forward to a great year of literacy growth.

I am the proud mother of two incredible children. My son, Caleb, is 16 and is a sophomore at Highlands Ranch High School. Haley, my daughter, is currently in 8th grade at Cresthill. My husband, Josh, is an avid adventurer with a huge heart to help others through his counseling practice. We have lived in Colorado most of that time with the exception of a year-long adventure in New Zealand early in our marriage. The newest members of our family are Pumpkin and Coconut, Haley’s guinea pigs.
We are a very active family and enjoy spending time camping, hiking, biking, climbing and exploring the beautiful outdoors. Traveling, shopping, reading and spending time with friends and family are a few other hobbies that I enjoy in my free time.
