EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

In May of 2020, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts & Sciences in History and Elementary Education from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I was named the School of Education's Most Outstanding Graduate for 2020.  I also attended graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado for my Masters Degree in Curriculum Studies & Design.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Hi there! My name is Mrs. Anne Burke and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Fox Creek! I was born and raised in Colorado and enjoy reading, writing, hiking, spending time with my family and husband, and relaxing with my dogs, Lily & Hershey. 

The impact that I want to have as an educator is for my students to take interest and ownership in their learning. I want to enable them to think critically and analytically about the world around them. I hope that by the end of the year, my students are self-reflective, creative, open-minded, and independent as individual human beings.

In my classroom, that will look like my students collaborating and growing in a safe and inclusive space. I will help to guide students to foster their creativity and build meaningful relationships within our classroom Crew and beyond. We will practice a growth mindset each and every day, knowing that our year will be full of new discoveries and challenges that we will overcome together.
