Welcome to the 5th Grade at Fox Creek Elementary! It is truly a pleasure to work in such an incredible school that values academics, character, and community in every aspect! I am so grateful to continue my journey as a teacher here. 

My teaching philosophy is a simple one: that all students feel safe, valued, and included so that they feel comfortable to take risks and as a result, grow. Our classroom will foster the development of kids as thoughtful, reflective, and knowledgable members of society. My expectation is that students come in with a positive attitude, try their absolute best, and show kindness. The rest is easy! 

I invite that if parents/guardians ever have any questions or concerns to please reach out to me. I truly believe that communication is so important, and I would love to try to solve matters head-on via email, phone, in person, or over Zoom. I also feel as though it is important for students to develop the life skill of advocating for themselves and communicating directly with me. I am always happy to have an open conversation!

I truly consider our classroom community as a crew, not passengers. We will all work together to help each of our children grow as academics and as human beings. I am so very honored to have the opportunity to work with each of you as we begin this year together. My passion for teaching and working with children drives me everyday - I am always the happiest when helping to shape young minds!
