All About Me!

Hello! My name is Melissa Gibson, 

This will be my second year at Eldorado. With ten years of experience teaching preschool through 6th grade, I can honestly say that Kindergarten is my absolute favorite! I graduated from California Baptist University on a cheer scholarship, where I also received my teaching credential. I grew up in Chicago, lived in California for about 15 years, and have been living here in Colorado for the past 4 years.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to two cutie boys, Harvey (3) and Carmen (1), and I’m fortunate to have an awesome, supportive husband by my side. Our family is completed by our chunky black lab, Tony. I love to do anything active, running, peloton, snowboarding. But I also like to get dressed up and check out swanky restaurants with my husband. 

I enjoy being a teacher with every fiber in my being. I promise to create a warm, nurturing environment where your child feels safe, and excited to learn! Looking forward to a fabulous school year ahead. Go Panthers!
