Recorders

All Eldorado 3-6 grade students must have or purchase a recorder!

Recorder study is an integral part of the DCSD music curriculum. This wonderful instrument with its rich history spanning from medieval times to the present is a great way to begin or reinforce music reading.

Recorders may be purchased through school. Cost is only $5.50 and are charged as part of grade level fees. They are Angel/Halo soprano recorders with high quality sound. Price includes: Recorder, case, neck strap, accessories and free Recorder Karate book!

If you already have a recorder you do not have to purchase one. Soprano recorders may also be purchased through most music stores. If possible, I would ask that siblings not share instruments as each child will need their own.

4th-5th grade students need to bring recorders to music class!

3rd grade students will start in January.

Please contact me if you cannot afford a recorder. I have a limited number of donated recorders that can be loaned! kmkireilis@dcsdk12.org
