Hello, Eagle Ridge families!

My name is Mia Johnson, and I am beyond excited to be joining the Kindergarten team this upcoming school year! As a proud Colorado native—and a former student in the Douglas County School District—this opportunity feels like coming full circle.

I’ll be graduating from Colorado State University this May with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. During my time at CSU, I discovered a true passion for early literacy and for building a classroom environment where every child feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.

Teaching runs in my family, and I’m so grateful to be following in the footsteps of my mom who teaches preschool at Colorado Christian Academy, and my younger sister is currently a freshman at CSU, also studying Early Childhood Education. Being surrounded by passionate educators has shaped who I am and continues to fuel my love for teaching.

My goal is to create a welcoming classroom community where students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family, cooking, and crafting!

I can’t wait to meet you and your kindergartener! I look forward to partnering with you to make this a joyful and successful year of learning and growth.
