Preschool staff are off for the summer and will be unavailable to respond until their return to work on August 7th. AM Class: 8:30-11:00 (Mon. - Thurs.)
PM Class: 12:30-3:30 (Mon. - Fri.)

Copper Mesa Elementary is in the Mountain Vista Feeder Region.
The District will use the following methods to notify families about weather-related school schedule changes:
Local television and radio broadcasts starting at 5:00 a.m.
District website: www.dcsdk12.org or https://www.dcsdk12.org/snow_closures_and_delays for the most current and accurate schedule. Information will be updated by 5:00 a.m.
Weather hotline: 303-387-SNOW (7669). Closure and delay information will be updated by 5 a.m.
Preschool Attire:
Please make sure you are labeling your child's belongings (i.e. snack items, coats, etc.)
We love to get messy in preschool. Please send your child in comfortable clothing that can get messy as your child actively participates in a variety of activities. We know children learn best when they are hands on and we also know this can get messy!
Backpacks Please send a backpack that is big enough to fit:
8 1/2" x 11" art work or papers from teachers
Snack (see snack policy)
Extra clothing in case of messes, spills, or accidents (shirt, pants, underwear, socks and diapers/wipes if applicable)
Playground Prep:
We will go outside everyday, unless it is severe weather or below 20o. Please send appropriate clothing with your child (coat, hat, gloves, etc.). On sunny days, if you prefer, apply sunscreen to your child prior to preschool arrival. Fun tip... Ask your child to demonstrate the "preschool flip," a teaching method we use that helps children put on their coat all by themselves.
With the weather changes, please make sure to swap out your extra change of clothes. Time to bring in the long pants and sleeves.
