WELCOME to my classroom site!!!
...the one where we get back to normal!!!
The last couple of years have been "different" and I am super excited that we get to be together in school again. I teach three different courses; Multimedia, CANN (Broadcast) and STEM. In Multimedia and CANN you will learn parts of the Adobe Suite. If you have a computer at home you may be able to download the Adobe Suite software to use while you are enrolled in the class. Please click here to find out computer specs needed as well as directions on how to download the software. In STEM, you will be working hands-on with projects that combine Science, Technology, Engineering and Math...without even realizing it. It is a great way to apply the concepts you have learned in your core classes. It's going to be a BLAST!!!
Below are some basic guidelines of norms, expectations, and technology tools for each type of learning. If you have questions, please email me at rrclaus@dcsdk12.org.
Classroom Expectations
We will learn the basics of the Adobe Suite in our computer lab at school. Assignments may include photography basics, mini-projects, and interactive activities.
PLEASE RESPECT your environment. (computers, keyboards, mice, desks, chairs)
NO FOOD OR DRINKS allowed in the lab at any time (water bottles are the only exception but must be kept on the floor)
Stay in your own space and only use your computer, using another student's computer could result in disciplinary actions.
Raise your hand to leave your seat for any reason
DO NOT play with your chairs in any way. DO NOT stand on the legs of the chairs...the wheels will break off.
AT THE END OF CLASS...wipe down your computer keyboard, mouse and desk.
I will respond to emails within 24 hours via email or in-person communication during class.
It is NEVER ok to play computer games in the lab.
Phone/Chromebook Policy
Your phone/Chromebook are NOT allowed to be used unless explicit permission has been given to you by Ms. Claus.
If your phone is seen out (no matter the reason) it will be turned over to Ms. Claus who will then take it to the office where you can pick it up at the end of the day.
