As a team, we believe that each child has the ability to learn and succeed given the right tools and the opportunity to advocate for themselves. In this advocacy, students will independently ask for the help they personally need, take risks to try on their own, use models of excellence given as examples, use failure as an opportunity to grow, hold themselves and peers accountable, and use peer feedback to help them improve. Teachers will create a safe environment, help students celebrate success and discover talents, provide necessary tools for all abilities, and promote the idea, “Everybody is good at something. Nobody is good at everything.”
