DIVISION 3 & NAIA
Division 3 (DIII)
NCAA Division III schools do not track core courses or require Eligibility Center certification.
Instead, academic eligibility is entirely determined by each individual college's standard admissions office.
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)
Pathway 1: The Automatic Qualifier GPA
Achieve a 2.3 cumulative high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
If your final overall GPA is a 2.3 or higher, you are automatically eligible—test scores and class rank do not matter.
Pathway 2: The "Two-of-Three" Rule
If your overall GPA is between a 2.0 and 2.29, you can still become eligible if you meet at least two of the following three criteria:
GPA: A minimum overall high school GPA of 2.0.
Class Rank: Graduate in the top 50% of your high school class.
Test Scores: Achieve a minimum score of 18 on the ACT or 970 on the SAT (Critical Reading + Math only)
