Hi. I'm Gab, a graduate research associate at the System Modeling and Simulation Laboratory at the Department of Computer Science at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. I'm currently working on my M.S. degree in Computer Science at the same university. I am also a lecturer at the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science in the Ateneo de Manila University, where I received by B.S. degree in Management Information Systems with specialization in Business Intelligence.
My research interests involve numerical simulations of complex/dynamical systems and the use of machine learning techniques applied to natural hazard cascades and public health/epidemiology. Some of my works are parameter estimation using genetic algorithm and control theory applied to system dynamics. I also worked briefly with the COVID-19 Modeling team, providing additional modeling manpower and leveraging the tools developed for other projects.
On a full-time basis, I am working as a Senior Presales Specialist at SAP Asia Pte Ltd. You can check my professional background here.
