Scholarships for Current College Students

Are you a current college student or do you know one who still has a gap in their financial aid or is looking for additional scholarships to help cover tuition? There are many scholarships available for current college students.

Internship for Current College Students: The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is looking for full-time college student to work as a summer intern responsible for the company’s high school summer employee group. The intern will oversee programmatic and operational components of over 20 high school summer employees. Click here for more details. Application deadline is March 29.

NPG Essay Scholarship Contest

Closing Date: April 19

Amount: Up to $2,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicant must write a letter to the 100+ new members of the 116th Congress explaining why US population size and growth are serious problems for our nation.


College Scholarship Contest

Closing Date: April 21

Amount: $2,500

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in a college or university or planning to enroll as a freshman for the 2019-2020 academic year. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to bankruptcy.


Mary Quon Moy Ing Memorial Scholarship

Closing Date: April 21

Amount: Up to $2,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled college students and graduating high school seniors who are pursuing journalism as a career. Applicant must demonstrate journalistic ability, financial need, commitment to the field of journalism and/or sensitivity to Asian American/Pacific Islander issues.


Wedding Retouching Company Scholarship

Closing Date: April 24

Amount: $2,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to students worldwide who are either accepted into an educational institution or currently attending a college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA and student should be interested in photography or photo editing as a hobby or professionally. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to the next revolution in photography.


All About Education Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $3,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant will need to submit a short response to a given prompt.


Beauty School Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $2,500

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to students planning on attending a program related to the beauty industry (cosmetology, barbering, hair design, nail technology, etc.)


Joshua David Gardner Memorial Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $2,000

GPA Requirement: 2.8

SAT Requirement: 1200

Description: Scholarship is open to students admitted or enrolled in an accredited four-year historically black college or university (HBCU) in the United States.


Nikon Small World Contest

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: Up to $3,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Contest is open to anyone worldwide over the age of 18 who have an interest in photography through the microscope.


OADP Accounting Degree Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $1,500

GPA Requirement: 3.0

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors with a declared major in accounting at an accredited four-year institution in the United States.


Sara Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $2,000

GPA Requirement: N/A

Description: Scholarship is open to female high school seniors who have some involvement with the sport of golf.


Six Star Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $15,000

GPA Requirement: 3.0

Description: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States who are between the ages of 18 and 22 years of age and are either graduating high school seniors or current college students. Applicant should be someone who excels in athletics, academics (at least a 3.0 GPA), and community. Applicant must write an essay or create a video (or do both) that shows why you deserve the scholarship. There will be one female and one male scholarship winner.


Student Loan Relief Scholarship

Closing Date: April 30

Amount: $2,500

GPA Requirement: 3.0

Description: Scholarship is open to student who are at least 18 years of age and are currently, have been, or will be enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2020) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to a “nice-to-have” thing they would ask for from a genie in a bottle.
