Bowdoin College (Maine)

Application Deadline: September 27

Program Dates: November 7 - 10

Cost: Free (All expenses, transportation, housing and meals are covered)

Description: Explore Bowdoin is an all-expenses paid college visit program for high-achieving low-income and/or first-generation high school seniors who come from diverse backgrounds. While on campus, you will experience many of the academic opportunities and social activities that Bowdoin students enjoy. Participants stay with current students in campus housing, attend classes, receive personal admissions interviews, and attend information sessions on admissions and student aid. You will see that academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and character are hallmarks of a Bowdoin education.

Davidson College (North Carolina)

Application Deadline: August 26 (Priority Deadline) and September 16

Program Dates: November 3 – 5

Cost: Free (Transportation, meals and overnight accommodations will be covered)

Description: Access Davidson is a selective program for high school seniors designed to provide an opportunity to visit campus for students from traditionally under-represented groups or those that may not have access to visit campus otherwise. Due to the brevity of the visit, only students living in the United States and Puerto Rico are eligible for consideration. Only students who have not been on an official visit may be selected for the program. If selected, you will arrive Sunday afternoon and stay on campus with a current Davidson student for two nights. You will attend classes and should plan to return home Tuesday afternoon.

Bates College (Maine)

Application Deadline: September 1

Program Dates: October 13 – 15

Cost: Free (Airplane or bus ticket to campus, transportation to and from the airport or bus station to campus, housing, a mattress, linens and meals are covered)

Description: Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is the guiding principle behind our Prologue to Bates, a fly-in program geared towards students entering their senior year who express interest in being a part of our inclusive and pluralistic community. All students who attend high school in the U.S. and Puerto Rico are welcomed to apply, especially students who are first-generation-to-college, low-income, and/or historically underrepresented in higher education.

Wesleyan University (Connecticut)

Application Deadline: September 6/October 8 (Regular Deadline)

Program Dates: October 13 -14 or November 10 - 11

Cost: Free (All expenses-paid visit)

Description: The Wesleyan University Office of Admission funds the Transportation Assistance Program (TAP), which provides an all-expenses-paid visit to campus (including transportation, accommodations and meals) for a select number of high school seniors interested in participating in one of our annual Open House Programs. During the visit, students will have the opportunity to visit classes, attend panel discussions, spend the night with a current student, speak with faculty, and explore the campus community.


Colorado College (Colorado)

Application Deadline: September 28

Program Dates: October 26-28

Cost: Free (Accepted students will receive travel and accommodation grants for themselves and one parent or guardian)

Description: During the weekend you will spend time with CC students to get an inside look on the social life and academic experience at Colorado College. The program will also provide you with some general tools to aid you in the college admission process. The program is open to high school seniors (class of 2020), gap year students or transfer students currently residing in the United States. To apply for this program, you must meet at least one of the following criteria: Self-identify as a student of color, Eligible for the Pell Grant, Qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch, are a DACA or undocumented student or Identify as a First-Generation Student. While students participate in Experience Colorado College there is a special parent/guardian program.

Tufts University (Massachusetts)

Application Deadline: October 1 at 5pm EST (Engineering) and October 8 at 5pm EST (Arts and Sciences)

Program Dates: October 17 – 18 (Engineering) and October 24 – 25 (Arts and Sciences)

Cost: Free (All expenses and travel are covered)

Description: The Voices of Tufts Diversity Experiences, sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, are overnight programs designed to expose high school seniors to the vast diversity that exists in our community. Participants will have the opportunity to experience academic and social life by staying in a residential dorm with an undergraduate student, attending lectures from professors, eating in the dining halls, and watching a student-led showcase by several on-campus performance groups. Travel assistance is available for students for whom the trip would present a financial hardship.
