NYSSLS

Below are the New York State Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS). The Next Generation Science Standards or National Science Standards were adapted to develop the New York State Science Learning Standards. Anything that is highlighted in yellow is added to the standards. For example, the Prekindergarten standards were added to the New York version of the document. In order to make sense of the standards in the creation of curriculum, a color copy of the standards comes in handy with the three different elements of the Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs), and the Crosscutting Concepts (CCs). Note that the Next Generation English Language Arts and Mathematics Standards are referenced in the NYSSLS.
