DECEMBER 4, 2026 - DCMO/POLE CAMPUS - CAPACITY : 100 STUDENTS - REGISTRATION NOV 16TH
Preparing for the financial demands of college and adult life is essential—and the earlier financial education begins, the greater its impact. Through SFCU’s Money Edition and the Savings and Money Investment workshop, students participate in an interactive budgeting activity that simulates real-life choices. By beginning this learning process early, students cultivate essential habits and confidence that will serve them throughout high school, college, and beyond.
Mentors at each station carefully guide students through the opportunities and consequences of financial decisions. They highlight common pitfalls—like the “credit card trap”—while illustrating the long-term advantages of starting to save early.
By equipping students with these foundational skills now, the program plants an early seed help them make smarter financial decisions and avoid costly mistakes.

Any BOCES and schools in the region can register to participate through the 409 Co-Ser. The 409 Co-Ser is included in the ISS base for component districts. Non-component districts may be charged a 7.5% coordination fee.
Each College & Career Exploration event has a maximum capacity. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. When capacity is reached, the registration form will close. The registration fee per participant (student or staff) is $55. The fee includes lunch, materials, program development, and coordination support.
Schools must provide student transportation to the event location and register at least one staff member per 10 students.
