LessonPix has many free sample resources including low tech communication boards, articulation games, math, visual schedules, and books and activities to address emergent literacy skills. Just go into the Sharing Center and look for anything with the Free Sample crest.

Boardmaker Activities to Go

Boardmaker is a collection of standardized picture symbols used for communication with students who are strong visual learners. This includes those with autism spectrum disorders, Down Syndrome, speech and language disorders, and behavioral disorders. They have a thematic series of units called Boardmaker Activities-to-Go - all free, and ready to download, print, copy, etc.

Tar Heel Reader

Tar Heel Reader is a collection of free, easy-to-read, and accessible books on a wide range of topics. Each book can be speech enabled and accessed using multiple interfaces, including touch screens, the IntelliKeys with custom overlays, and 1 to 3 switches.

PrAACtical Resources

This block from PrAACtical Resources contains links to many resources for students with complex communication and instructional needs. Links visual schedules for hand washing, social stories for explaining social distancing and COVID-19, and other resources are included.

Readtopia

Readtopia has free literacy resources for students with complex communication and instructional needs. It has one month's worth of lessons that are leveled based on student needs (emergent, transitional, and conventional). To access resources, users have to register on the website.
