2024-2029 Priorities
The strategic planning process identified three key priorities of focus to help DCI achieve our goals over the next five years. While these three priorities will not be the only work we do, they will be where we spend more time and attention to significantly improve our work with students.
Instructional Vision
Develop, align, and operationalize a clear, equity-centered, IB-grounded, language at the core instructional vision for what teaching and learning should look like at DCI
- Led by Chief Academic Officer with support from both principals
- Additional resources through curriculum updates, additional training / coaching support, and new roles aligned to instructional leadership
Staff / Talent Support, Retention, Onboarding, and Recruiting
Create systems to attract, recruit, hire, onboard, and most importantly support an effective and diverse team of staff in alignment with our commitment to create a socially just community
- Led by Chief Talent Officer
- Additional resources through the CTO role itself and a third-party diagnostic of systems
Socially Just Community
Build DCI’s culture, systems and policies to strengthen inclusion and belonging in service of a socially just community
- Led by the Chief of Staff with support from the DEI Committee
- Additional resources through an outside DEI partner to help audit, build language / systems and train staff on supporting a stronger committee that fosters connection for all stakeholders
