In the previous 2019-2024 strategic plan, DCI included "greenlight" criteria – the conditions that must exist for DCI to consider replicating to serve additional students beyond the charter allotment with a new school (DCI #2).

The context of public education in DC and DCI has changed since 2019, so the decision to update the criteria is now necessary in 2024.

Revised Greenlight Criteria
The revised criteria includes targets for academic, operational, and financial health that will be assessed holistically to determine the demand for replication while also weighing the viability of the organization and ability to fulfill DCI's mission.
