The MYP personal project is how students demonstrate their competence for engaged, independent, internationally-minded learning.

In the final year of the MYP, students complete a long-term project through which they:

• investigate individual interests and pursue personal passions
• develop and apply specific approaches to learning (ATL) skills
• explore their work as part of a meaningful global context.

Students investigate, plan, take action and reflect on their learning through the personal project.

All projects are assessed by school-based supervisors, and they are externally moderated to a rigorous global standard. The IB issues results to all students, and successful completion of the personal project is required of all candidates for the internationally-recognized IB MYP certificate.
