4-year colleges and universities offer programs that generally take at least four years to complete, leading to a bachelor’s degree. Students may also go on to graduate school to earn advanced degrees such as a master’s or doctorate.

Provide more campus activities, clubs, and organizations
Often have residence halls, athletics, and broader student life experiences
