Interested in Dual Enrollment (DE) at DCHS? !
We offer dual enrollment with two institutions: Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC), or Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Newbern (TCAT-Newbern). Still have questions?! Email Mrs. Becky Kent our DSCC DE Coordinator or Mrs. Amy Mobley our TCAT DE Coordinator
In order to be eligible to take dual enrollment courses, students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA & the specific ACT score requirement:
Juniors & Seniors:
DE English I - 19 Reading & English (3 college credit hours)
DE English II - 19 Reading & English (3 college credit hours)
DE Statistics - 19 Math (3 college credit hours)
DE College Algebra - 22 Math (3 college credit hours)
DE US Hist I/II - 19 Reading, English, or Composite (2 courses - 6 college credit hours)
Seniors Only:
DE English I & II - 19 Reading & English (2 courses - 6 college credit hours)
DE Biology I & II - 19 Science (2 courses - 8 college credit hours)
DE Calculus I - 26 Math (4 college credit hours)
DE Calculus II - 26 Math (4 college credit hours)
*Any other courses would be a minimum of a 19 Composite.
Off-Campus Eligibility:
To take any off-campus courses at DSCC or TCAT, students must have satisfactory attendance and discipline in the preceding semester.
ON TRACK (not failing any courses)
SATISFACTORY ATTENDANCE
NO MAJOR DISCIPLINE INCIDENTS
*Students must also have a valid driver's license, insurance, and their own means of transportation.
