Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab per week. We are stardust. This course is an overview of how stars are born, how they produce energy, and the different ways they die. The lives and deaths of stars include quasars, pulsars, black holes, and supernovas. In addition, we will discuss the underlying physical concepts, theories, and laws that govern the behavior of celestial bodies. Corequisite: PHYS 112.
