Doors open at 8:40 for student arrival. At breakfast time, students are eating, working independently, or in small groups exploring, noticing, wondering. Adults are listening to students, engaging in questions and inquiry, taking anecdotal notes.
Activities may include: Unpacking backpack, breakfast as a station, provocations, observational drawings, experiences, question of the day.
9:00-9:30 (30 minutes)
Students are active participants in the meeting and develop language skills, social skills, and cognitive skills through discussion, songs, and other shared meeting activities.
Activities may include: Morning greeting song, group game with movement, word play, planning for the day, read aloud, and reflection of morning experiences.
9:30-10:30 (60 minutes)
Students have an uninterrupted block of child-directed play.
Activities may include: blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, library, art, technology, science, music, and movement.
10:30–10:50 (20 minutes)
Students have a whole group mini lesson before teachers confer with individual students on their independent reading.
Activities may include: reading a book with the teacher, shared and/or modeled writing, independent writing, sharing aloud with peers from the Author's Chair.
10:50-11:20 (30 minutes)
Large motor outdoor choice time (also known as Recess!)
11:20-11:30 (10 minutes)
Students cool down after recess and take a moment to use the restroom, get water, and wash their hands while their teacher reads a story.
11:30-12:00 (30 minutes)
12:00-12:10 (10 minutes)
Students clean up their own lunch then wash thier hands and use the restroom before nap time.
Pre-K3 12:10-1:40 (90 minutes)

Quiet, mindfulness activities are available for those who don’t
sleep.
1:10-2:00 (60/30minutes)
The teacher leads small group activities that encourage the inquiry process.
Activities may include: Project work, library, art, science, technology, toys and games.
2:00-2:45 (45 minutes)
Our specials classes include: Music, Art, P.E., and Library.
2:45-3:05 (20 minutes)
Students are encouraged to use the restroom, get water, and wash their hands.
Closing circle activities may include: Whole group games, read aloud, goodbye song, and reflection.
