Classroom Overview

  • 3 DCPS self-contained special education classrooms to serve early childhood students;

Admissions Process

At Stevens ELC, the MSDC Priority Seat Preference for at-risk families is available to help build a socioeconomic school community. All PK3 and PK4 applicants will need to apply through the My School DC lottery

  • The Priority Seat Preference applies to at-risk families that identify as homeless, in the District’s foster care system, receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) as measured after April 1, 2019. CentroNía Overview

Application now open: Register here. Our site name is DC - Stevens ELC.

CentroNía admissions is separate from the My School DC lottery. Seats are available for students ages 6 weeks - 3 years old. They are accepting the OSSE childcare voucher and tuition will be on a sliding scale based on family's income. CentroNía is a nationally recognized, award-winning multi-site educational organization serving primarily low-income, working families. It provides affordable, high quality early childhood education; professional development to educators; and family support services in a bilingual and multicultural environment. Our holistic approach ensures that the children and families we serve receive the support and encouragement they need to succeed academically, develop a strong sense of community, and live healthy and active lives. This includes an award-winning Food & Wellness Department that provides healthy meals for CentroNía’s community, and encourages children, parents, and staff to adopt healthy lifestyles by making informed food choices.
