Dear NHS Parents and Members,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our first NHS service project last Thursday! The JHL crew was extremely grateful for the breakfast, and I received numerous compliments and thank-yous from several crew members. Their supervisor also asked me to share his appreciation, saying, “It made everyone’s day" and "they've never been treated this well at other job sites".
In addition to serving the JHL team, our students were able to enjoy breakfast together and share leftovers with faculty and staff, a wonderful way to make a positive impact across our school community.
I was also so impressed by how eager our NHS members were to serve others and do something kind. The positivity was truly infectious on Thursday. It was a wonderful reminder of the impact small acts of service can have on our community.
Please see the following message from our NHS Secretary regarding announcements for the upcoming week:
Good afternoon!
Our next meeting will be this Wednesday during conference. During this time, we’ll be setting up the app we’ll use to log service hours. Please download Jibble before Wednesday and bring your phone to the meeting so we can get everyone set up.
Here’s the schedule for flag duty over the next few weeks:
October 6–10: Colette, Danni, and Alexis
October 20–24: Julia, Kiersten, and Charys
October 27–31: Charlie, Vann, and Kimberlyn
Sincerely,
NHS Secretary
