Boarders who leave before the end of their specified period of boarding, for whatever reason, are charged for the entire period.

Weekend and Long Holiday Fees

#Friday dinner, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast and Sunday lunch are not provided by the Boarding School.
Remission of Boarding Fees (Student Financial Assistance Scheme)
Starting in academic year 2022-2023, there will no longer be any Boarding Fee Scholarship for boarders who receive the Day School Academic/Sports/Music Scholarship. Boarders who receive scholarships with financial difficulties should apply for the Day School Student Financial Assistance Scheme.
A boarder may apply for remission of boarding fees if they are confirmed as receiving a day school fee remission through the DBS Student Financial Assistance Scheme in that school year.
Any remission of boarding fees must have the approval of both the Warden and the Headmaster.
The School reserves the right to grant, amend, cancel or refuse remission of boarding fees at any time. Any amendments or cancellation of remission will be notified in writing and will affect the monthly installments from that date onwards.
Boarders approved for Remission of Boarding Fees will need to pay an amount based on their remission rate approved by the Day School Student Financial Assistance Scheme.
In 2023-2024, the boarding school fee for boarders with approved Remission of Boarding Fee are as follows: (*proposed fees - subject to Education Bureau's approval)
For boarders who are offered Remission of Boarding Fees based on the Day School Student Financial Assistance Scheme, the reduced boarding fee will apply for the whole boarding period. Any additional amount already collected by the school as boarding fees (for example, as full fees payment in months prior to approval) will be credited to the boarder’s account for future monthly installments, with any remainder refunded after the period of boarding.
Boarders who have difficulties with the above Boarding Fee Arrangements may make a written request to the Warden. The Warden may, by discretion, grant remission of boarding fees for boarders who have financial difficulties on a case-to-case basis.
Boarding Prefect Scholarship
From time to time, the Boarding School may offer scholarship to select boarders for major leadership roles and duties performed in the Boarding School, i.e. Boarding Prefects. The Boarding Prefect Scholarship is reductions to the monthly installment during the period of appointment of a boarder as Boarding Prefect.
When a boarder who receives Remission for Boarding Fees is also eligible for Boarding Prefect Scholarship, the boarder’s monthly installment becomes whichever is the lower amount.
The school reserves the right to amend or cancel a boarder’s Scholarship at any time throughout the year. Any amendments or cancellation of the Scholarship will be notified in writing and take immediate effect.
Local Education Allowance Scheme (“LEA”, Civil Service Bureau)
Boarders who are eligible to pay through the Local Education Allowance (LEA) scheme will need to indicate this payment method on the Direct Debit Authorisation form. The School will charge boarding fees through the scheme on a monthly basis.
