Dance and Movement Club is a fun and enriching programme for our young learners. The club focuses on pure movement and creativity. Each session begins with warming up and stretching, followed by rhythmic activities such as tapping, shaking and grooving to the beat. Children also learn short, fun, choreographed routines, which help develop their coordination and memory. Our favourite part is the free dance exploration, allowing the children to express themselves through their own unique movements.
The exciting Buzzing for Books club allows children to dive in and discover the wonderful world of books. Sit back and enjoy as Mrs Sharman, plus a guest reader, read their favourite picture books from the library.
Exploring education for sustainability, the Eco-Green Club will motivate even our youngest students to develop a deep love of our Earth and a desire to care for it. Children will be empowered to create meaningful environmental activities and projects to help raise sustainability awareness throughout our school, within their families and in our wider DB community. They will also have the opportunity to nurture our new garden space on the EYFS campus.
Exposure to music in the early years of development is crucial. Simple songs expose children to patterns and counting in Mathematics and teach rhyming skills for reading in Literacy. Singing also helps children enhance vocabulary and has benefits for speech and language development. Each week the children will have fun engaging in voice sound activities, singing warm ups and learning new songs to add to their repertoire.
Stretch and pose! Join us for Yoga Club every Friday morning as we develop confidence, flexibility and strength. We will be introducing basic yoga poses through games and fun activities. Yoga is for everyone, and all our EYFS children are welcome to come and explore the mat with us.
The Early Years Mandarin Club lets your children to explore the Chinese language and its culture through various enrichment activities in Mandarin such as story telling, singing and Chinese handcrafts.
