How Do We Create The Best Assessment Task?
Some pointers on things you can do:
- READ THE TASK OUTLINE - What are they ASKING me TO DO? = What am I ALLOWED to do? Hopefully, most tasks will provide us with OPTIONS of what to study or how to present the info - what are those options? Is it group work or individual work?
- Ask yourself - What are the LIMITATIONS on this task? = Do I have to present it a certain way - like in a Slideshow, a Poster, a Video Interview format? Is there anything I can't do? Is it group work or individual work?
- Have a look at the Marking Grid/Rubric = these are very important, because they say exactly what the teachers are looking for when they are marking.

Use lots of relevant pictures. Sites like Unsplash.com have lots of free photos of a great quality. Have a look! ->
