HEALTH CAMP
On July 23, 2022, the UBA Unit, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Delhi Ridge, Inner Wheel Club Vasant Kunj, and NITRD Delhi, successfully organized a Multidisciplinary Free Health Camp at Saptarshi Public School, Rajpur Khurd Extension, Chattarpur. The camp provided comprehensive health screenings and consultations, including blood sugar testing, tuberculosis (TB) screening, eye check-ups, bone density tests, electrocardiograms (ECG), blood pressure monitoring, and medical consultations with experienced doctors.
Basic Life Support
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan unit of Deshbandhu College organized a training program based on Basic Life Support (BLS) with the theme of "Understanding and Overcoming Our Stress and Emotions" on August 4, 2022. The event was conducted by Fortis Escorts Heart Institute based on Okhla Road, New Delhi. The event was led by Dr. Puneet Jain (clinical psychologist), who provided the attendees with insights into emotional learning and social habits.
Drawing Competition
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Unit of Deshbandhu College organized Drawing Competition on 5th August in collaboration with Rotary Club Delhi Ridge under the guidance of Dr Robin Kumar & Ms Gitika Sachdeva at Praathmik Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sultanpur. The children portrayed their imaginations beautifully & we were awed to see their artistic skills.
Independence day ( in all 5 villages)
Unnat Bharat abhiyan unit of Deshbandhu college organised “azaadi ka amrit mahotsav" in five villages of Chattarpur; Sultanpur, Satbari, Rajput khurd, Chandanhula, Bhati Mines on 15th August 2022. The Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign is based on five broad themes- Freedom Struggle, Idea@75, Resolve@75, Actions@75 and Achievement@75. The event was coordinated by Sakshi Khatri and Sachin Kumar jha.
Cancer Awareness Talk
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan unit of Deshbandhu College, in collaboration with the NSS unit of Deshbandhu College, Rotary Club Delhi Ridge, and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, hosted an enlightening session titled 'Cancer Awareness Talk' on October 11, 2022.Guided by the esteemed Dr. Leela Dadhwal, the event focused on crucial cancer prevention measures, empowering attendees with essential knowledge. In addition to the awareness talk, a Cancer Screening Camp was organized, offering Clinical Breast Examinations, Pap Smear Tests, and Mammography, ensuring proactive healthcare and early detection opportunities.
Orientation Programme
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Unit of Deshbandhu College organized an orientation program on 22nd November 2022 to introduce students to UBA's mission. The event began with Ganesh Vandana, followed by Prof. Varsha Baweja’s enlightening introduction. A presentation provided insights into UBA’s objectives, and volunteers shared emotional stories about challenges faced by rural communities.
Prof. Ashwini emphasized the duty of every individual to contribute to rural development, highlighting daily struggles in villages. An engaging Q&A session made the event interactive and impactful. The session concluded with a vote of thanks to Prof. Rajiv Aggarwal, Prof. Varsha Baweja, Dr. Ashawani Kumar Singh, and Dr. Robin Kumar for their guidance.
With the dedicated efforts of Student Coordinators Sachin Kumar Jha, Sakshi Khatri, and the entire UBA team, the program was a great success. The session was moderated by Taniya and Nivedita.
Lung Health Discussion
On January 6, 2023, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) of Deshbandhu College organized an insightful session on “Lung Health” featuring renowned thoracic surgeon Dr. Pallavi Purwar. The event took place in the Vivekananda Auditorium ,attended by Vice Principal Dr. Kamal Kumar Gupta, Dr. Aditya Saxena, and UBA Coordinator Prof. Dr. Varsha Baweja along with enthusiastic students and faculty members.
Dr. Pallavi Purwar delivered an informative talk covering national lung disease rankings, airway diseases, and air sacs while emphasizing the importance of healthy habits and risk awareness. The session was highly interactive, with students and professors actively participating, sharing their insights, and seeking advice from the expert.
Cloth Donation Drive
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan unit of Deshbandhu College, in collaboration with YouWe organized a Cloth Distribution Campaign in Bhati Mines Village, Chhatarpur, on January 18, 2023. This initiative aimed to provide warmth and comfort to underprivileged individuals struggling to afford winter clothing, fostering a spirit of compassion and community support.
Health Camp
A health camp was organised by UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi on 18th of March 2023 under the able guidance of Principal Deshbandhu College, Prof Rajiv Aggarwal and in collaboration with Rotary Club Delhi Ridge and Inner Wheel Club of Delhi Vasant Kunj.
The camp was assembled in the R.C.E.E Public School premises in Chandanhula. Specialist doctors from different specialisations advised and prescribed people about their health issues and solutions. The Mega Health Camp included various health examinations like Free Eye Check-up by the 'Centre For Sight' team, Dental check-up by Clove Dental, Test for detection of Diabetes and Blood Pressure. Sanitary pads were also distributed to the women participating in the camp.

Demystifying UPSC
A seminar “Demystifying the UPSC civil service examination” aims to elucidate the examination stages, effective preparation strategies and also to provide insights into the life and responsibilities of a civil servant was organized on April 15, 2023 in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Deshbandhu College. The session was highly enriching and interactive, effectively clarifying the doubts of the aspiring students and helping them in building confidence needed to embark on this prestigious journey.
Unnati'23
On 20th April 2023, the unit celebrated its very first annual fest "UNNATI '23" along with the launch of our first annual magazine "ABHYETI." The unit also launched its official website. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. DS Chauhan, Chairperson of the Governing Body of Deshbandhu College; Sri Vikram Bidhuri, spokesperson of the BJP for Delhi; Dr. Vivek Kumar, Professor, Centre for Rural Development and Technology, IT Delhi, and Co-coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan; and Dr. Bhupendra Gupta, a member of BJP South Delhi. This was followed by the felicitation of all the teacher coordinators, student coordinators, team heads, and active volunteers who contributed exclusively to UBA. A Talent Hunt competition was also organized where students showcased their talents and skills. Dr. Varsha Baweja, UBA Convenor of Deshbandhu College, narrated the journey of our college UBA team since its inception and how the team learned through their experiences about social service. She talked about the role that the students could play in bringing about positive change in the society.
C20 Samajshala
The C20 Samajshala initiative, led by the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Unit of Deshbandhu College, successfully conducted an awareness campaign in Bhati Mines Village on May 25, 2023, focusing on environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The campaign primarily aimed to educate village children on the importance of a clean environment through engaging activities, interactive sessions, and informative discussions, emphasizing the reduction of plastic use and the promotion of cloth bags.
The C20 Samajshala Awareness Campaign in Bhati Mines Village served as a significant step forward in the ongoing efforts to promote a sustainable future. It also highlighted the interconnectedness of various sustainable practices and empowered the community to take proactive steps towards a greener and healthier future.
International Yoga Day
The NSS Unit of Deshbandhu College, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, along with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Unit and NCC, organized the 9th International Yoga Day under the guidance and special presence of Ms. Vandana Gupta (Founder of Anandin Yog, IIFT Graduate) and Mr. Avadhesh (Urban Yogi, Certified Sivananda Yoga Teacher) on 21st June 2023. The day was marked by mass yoga sessions. HODs of respective departments, coordinators, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as students, were the attendees. Through a combination of postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation, yoga promoted harmony, balance, and inner peace among all the participants and inspired everyone to live with a healthy body.
Kargil Vijay Diwas
On the poignant occasion of “Kargil Vijay Diwas” a webinar was organized on July 26, 2023 to commemorate the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers. Param Veer Chakra Lt Col Manoj Kumar Sinha graced the occasion and unfolded the stories of heroism and sacrifice that echoed the virtual space with sentiments of respect and reverence for the soldiers who selflessly protected the sovereignty of the nation.
Independence Day Celebration
To celebrate the 77th anniversary of India’s independence from colonial rule, an event was organized in Sultanpur village on August 15, 2023. All activities were planned under the aegis of “Meri Maati Mera Desh”, a campaign launched by Govt of India, paying tribute to the Veers’ the unsung heroes who laid down their lives for the nation. The day was celebrated with the hoisting of flags, singing national anthem, selfie with Tiranga, performances by children, ‘Panch Pran Pledge’ and then planting tree saplings. All activities were well participated by the residents of Sultanpur village with true patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
Slogan Writing Competition
On 22nd August, 2023 a slogan writing competition was organized with an aim to celebrate Meri Maati Mere Desh’, ‘Vasudha ko Naman’ and ‘Veeron ka Vandan At DeshbandhuCollege.Around 50 students penned down slogans with a profound sense of patriotism. Allentries werelater evaluated by a team of experts and three winners were announced. Certificates of participation were given to all the participants, acknowledging their contribution and recognizing the fervour they brought to it.
Orientation Programme
On September 4, 2023 a captivating Orientation Programme was organized for all freshers & new recruits. The program’s zenith was marked by the presence of Prof Rajesh Tandon, the founder president of ‘PRIA’ and co-chair, UNESCO chair in community based research and social responsibility in higher education. In his address he commended the college’s dedication, urged everyone to embrace the cause of rural development wholeheartedly. He also introduced the idea of applying the theoretical knowledge of various courses towards the improvement of the village ecosystem. Testing the theories and approaching practicality should be the matter of concern while visiting the villages, he added. Professor Varsha Baweja, UBA Convener of Deshbandhu college, eloquently briefed the students about the mission and vision of UBA. She emphasized on the pivotal role of UBA in bridging the gap between rural communities in India And educational institutions. She expounded on the vision of UBA, which aims to catalyze transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging the knowledge and expertise of educational institutions, with the ultimate goal of building an inclusive India. Prof Baweja also highlighted the disconnects between rural and urban areas, such as disparities in health, education, incomes, basic amenities, and employment opportunities.
Innovative and Skill Development Conclave
The Grassroots Innovations and Skill Development Conclave for Rural Development held on September 13, 2023, was a collaborative event organized by CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR), Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), and VijnanaBharati (VIBHA), under the 'One Week One Lab Program' by CSIR-NIScPR. The event was attended by volunteers from UBA Deshbandhu College, who actively participated in the conclave and played a crucial role in bridging the gap between grassroots innovation and academia. The conclave provided a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and fostering innovation in the realm of rural development. The event sought to empower rural areas by exploring sustainable practices, technological interventions, and community-driven initiatives. It aimed to bring together the brightest minds in academia, grassroots innovators, and policymakers to foster sustainable rural development.
Thalassemia Camp
On September 25, 2023, an impactful Thalassemia Screening Camp and Awareness Drive was organized in collaboration with NSS, Deshbandhu College and Maulana Azad Medical College And BHOR- Living Humanly Foundation. Dr. Ranjana Mishra, the keynote speaker, and Medical Officer of Thalassemia disseminated crucial information about Thalassemia and preventive measures. She explained how Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. She talked about the importance of early screening, genetic counselling, and prenatal diagnosis to prevent the disease from being passed on to the next generation. The highlight of the event was the free Thalassemia screening test held in the Multipurpose Hall, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over a hundred students. The screening test was conducted by the medical staff from Maulana Azad Medical
College and BHOR- Living Humanly Foundation, who provided free medical counselling and guidance to the students. In sum, the event proved to be a resounding success, thanks to the concerted efforts of all involved. The initiative helped in raising awareness and educating the students about the disease, its causes, and prevention.
Sustainable Living Practices
Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a ‘Sustainable Living Practices’ drive was organized in
collaboration with ZORA, a flagship program under the millennium network and United Nations Sustainable Goals, on October 2, 2023 in Satbari village. The event witnessed the distribution of sanitary pads along with cloth bags which was aimed to promote hygienic practices among women and girls and to promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags. Prof Varsha Baweja and Dr Geeta emphasized the significance of community-driven initiatives in fighting plastic pollution and fostering sustainable living. The event saw a high turnout of villagers keen to learn about the dangers of plastic pollution, and ways to reduce their own plastic footprint .Later, they all pledged to adopt sustainable living practices and reduce their dependence on plastic
Health Camp
On November 4, 2023, a free multidisciplinary medical health checkup was organized in Satbari Village, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Rotary Club Delhi Ridge and under the guidance of Prof Varsha Baweja, Dr Ashawani Kumar Singh, Dr Geeta and Mr Tushar. Approximately 100 individuals participated, availing themselves of various health check-ups at no cost. The health camp offered a wide range of services, including physical examinations, blood sugar and blood pressure tests, ECGs, dental check-ups, and eye exams, all conducted by the trained and experienced medical staff from the Apollo Hospital, Delhi.
The event aimed to provide accessible healthcare to the local community, raise awareness about the importance of preventive healthcare, and educate participants about the Jan Aushadhi Yojana for accessing affordable medicines.
Seminar at IIT DELHI
On the 14th January, 2024, 17 volunteers of UBA, Deshbandhu College Students attended a seminar on transforming plastic waste into useful products, led by two experts who shared insights on the topic and the upliftment of often overlooked waste collectors. Emphasizing the crucial role of these collectors in maintaining cleanliness, the speakers explored strategies for achieving clean cities and states, incorporating global best practices and the innovative use of cow dung for economic and social benefits. The seminar concluded positively, inspiring attendees with the message that determination can drive significant community and broader impacts.
Poster Making Competition
On January 25, 2024, UBA, Deshbandhu College celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India by organizing a poster-making competition at Saptarshi Public School in Rajpur Village. Enthusiastic students of different age groups demonstrated their artistic talents, channeling their patriotic feelings into their creations. All entries were judged on the basis of creativity, originality ,and message relevance. The resulting artworks were diverse, each reflecting the significance of Republic Day through unique narratives and expressions of patriotism. This event fostered a sense of community and spirited competition, making it a memorable tribute to the nation's culture and an opportunity for students to express their patriotism and creativity.
Gram Sabha( Republic Day)
A Gram Sabha was held in Satbari village on January 26, 2024, to celebrate the 75th RepublicDay. The event was coordinated by a team of 20 student volunteers, led by Ms Saumya Singh of UBA, Deshbandhu college. Prof. Varsha Baweja, alongside locals Mr. Manoj and Mr. Naresh Led the flag hoisting and then everybody participated in singing the national anthem. Prof. Baweja highlighted the importance of the Republic Day, discussing citizens' duties and rights asper the Indian Constitution. The Gram Sabha also served as a platform for discussing key issues like waste management, health, education, water conservation, and sanitation. Children's Performances of folk dances and patriotic songs added to the vibrancy. The event concluded with prize distribution to children and sharing of ladoos and biscuits, symbolizing unity, patriotism, and a commitment to holistic development.
CUET Exam and Counselling
On February 8, 2024, ten UBA team members from Deshbandhu College visited a senior secondary school in Sultanpur village to raise awareness about the CUET exam and its counselling. They reached the venue in the morning and conducted a one-hour session, providing essential information about the exam process, including form filling, subject selection, qualifying criteria, college options, and syllabus coverage. They addressed questions from students and teachers, emphasizing the exam's importance and the need for proper guidance. The principal and teachers appreciated the session and promised to support future related activities. The student organizing team was satisfied with the positive impact they made on the students' lives by providing valuable information.
Youth Parliament
On March 8, 2024, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, organized the Neighbourhood Youth Parliament under *Viksit Bharat@2047* at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi. Guided by Prof. D.S. Chauhan, Prof. Rajendra K. Pandey, Prof. Varsha Baweja, and Mrs. Neelu Thadani, the event featured distinguished speakers. Prof. Vivek Kumar (IIT Delhi) spoke on *New India New Initiatives*, highlighting key government schemes and space achievements. Dr. Monica Mishra delivered an inspiring speech on *Nari Shakti*, emphasizing women's strength through real-life examples. A mock parliament on the *Women’s Reservation Bill* saw spirited debates, with Ms. Revathy Menon as Speaker and judge. Students actively participated, showcasing democratic engagement. The event concluded with a quiz by Dr. Geeta, where correct answers earned gifts from Ms. Neelu Thadani.
Voter Awareness Campaign
On April 22, 2024, the UBA unit of Deshbandhu College conducted a voter awareness campaign in Rajpur Khurd, Chhatarpur District, led by Rajat Rana with volunteers including Mohit Kumar, Bhoomi, Shivam Yadav, Lokesh Kumar, Deepak Dhankar, Krishna, Manish Kumar and Aayush Srivastava, Ramnath, Avdhesh.
Arriving at 10:30 AM, the team aimed to boost voter turnout and educate residents on the importance of voting. Visiting around 100 houses, they found that many villagers either refrained from voting, lacked political opinions, or voted on behalf of others. Only 60-70% participated, with voter distraction and skepticism about election fairness being key issues.Despite challenges, the team remained dedicated, emphasizing that every vote counts. The campaign, documented by Mohit Kumar, highlighted responsible citizenship and the significance of voting in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
UNNATI'24
Amidst the opulent surroundings of the Vivekanand auditorium, the grandeur of Uba's annual fest, "Unnati 24," unfurled with palpable anticipation on 30th April, 2024. The event was hosted by our talented anchors Shivanshu and Bhumika. The ceremonial illumination of the lamp heralded the beginning of this cultural voyage, embodying the institution's steadfast commitment to enlightenment and advancement. Saraswati Vandana and the resonating strains of the University Kulgeet added layers of solemnity and institutional pride, enveloping the audience in a tapestry of tradition and reverence. The opening dance performance was truly captivating. Additionally, a film was created to showcase Uba's achievements and milestones, serving as a testament to our success.
The event commenced with the esteemed felicitation of Naveen Sharma, COO of Narayan Healthcare, by our principal, RK Pandey, teacher convenor Prof. Varsha Baweja, and IQAC officer, Dr Aditya Saxena, setting a tone of gratitude and honour. Principal ,Prof. Rajendra Kumar Pandey shared insights on UBA's progress, emphasizing its potential to serve the community. Chief guest Mr. Naveen Sharma underscored community health, proposing a temporary health booth initiative for disease prevention. The launch of the Annual Magazine's second edition marked UBA's intellectual growth, fostering discourse and creativity.
The next half of the event was hosted by another pair of graceful anchors Vanshika and Kamal. The fest was followed by several competitions starting from The Gram Panchayat event, near the cafeteria led by Kamal Kumar Gupta as sarpanch, which saw passionate debates on the dowry system, emphasizing community unity against dowry and empowering girls' aspirations. The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan's annual fest, "Unnati," commenced with captivating cultural performances, including dances, singing, poetry, and a touching mono act, celebrating the diverse talent and unity within the community. Winners were announced and awards were presented, acknowledging outstanding contributions in various categories, marking a successful conclusion to the event. The farewell part culminated in a bittersweet farewell, marked by smiles, tears, and expressions of gratitude as the third-year students bid adieu to their alma mater, leaving behind a legacy of excellence.
Demystifying UPSC
On May 8, 2024, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and the Khan Study Group (KSG) organized a seminar titled "Demystifying UPSC" at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium from 10:00 am. The seminar aimed to provide detailed insights into the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination and offer practical tips for aspirants. Honourable speaker Rashid Yashin from KSG India delivered a comprehensive presentation on the UPSC examination, detailing its various stages and the syllabus for each stage. Dr. Geeta, the Teacher Coordinator for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, highlighted the holistic approach to UPSC preparation and the role of UBA in nurturing well-rounded individuals. The seminar provided valuable insights and strategies for UPSC aspirants and reflected UBA's commitment to fostering capable individuals ready to contribute to the nation's development.
JULY 2024 ONWARDS
Independence Day Celebration
On the 15th of August, as India celebrated its 78th Independence Day, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Unit of Deshbandhu College, under the guidance of Dr. Sushma Sharma and Dr. Ashwani Kumar, embarked on a meaningful journey to Chattarpur Village. This was a collaborative effort led by Village Head Eshaan Naithani, with student coordinator Mohd. Ayaan Solanki and a dedicated team. The day commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony in the heart of the village, symbolizing the unity and strength of our nation. The highlight of the day was a drawing competition for the village children. Out of the numerous colourful and imaginative creations, four winners were selected and honoured with prizes, bringing joy and a sense of achievement to the budding artists.
In addition to the celebrations, the UBA team made a lasting impact on the village by painting vibrant and culturally significant murals on the walls of the local temple. A special mention must be made of Naresh Ji, whose local knowledge and unwavering support were invaluable, as he facilitated communication with the villagers and contributed significantly to the event's success.
Plantation Drive
On 23rd August 2024, the UBA unit of Deshbandhu College orchestrated a plantation drive under the theme "एक पेड़ माँ के नाम" in two of its five network villages: Chandanhula and Sultanpur. This visionary initiative sought to foster tangible and vibrant transformations in the environment, reinforcing a collective commitment to sustainability.
The carefully chosen theme embodies a profound reverence for nature, likening it to the nurturing essence of a mother and emphasizing the intrinsic interconnectedness between the natural world and maternal care.
In Chandanhula, the event was spearheaded by Aditya Gawaria, alongside the overall coordinators, Mr. Ayaan Solanki and Ms. Poorva Pawar. Meanwhile, in Sultanpur, the drive was efficiently led by Parnavi Singh, with meticulous documentation handled by Sneha Bharti and Harshita Raghav.
Basic Life Support
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) unit of Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, in collaboration with Primus Super Specialty Hospital, organized a one-day training program on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Posture Management on September 6, 2024. The initiative aimed to impart essential life-saving skills and promote awareness of posture-related musculoskeletal health.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting and the rendition of the University Kulgeet, followed by a welcome address from Principal Prof. Rajendra Kumar Pandey and an introduction by Prof. Versha Baweja.
Distinguished Experts from Primus Super Specialty Hospital:
- Dr. Nishant Gemini – Specialist in musculoskeletal manipulation and sports rehabilitation.
- Dr. Aditya Jain – Consultant orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in trauma and sports injuries.
- Dr. Devansh Gautam– Expert in emergency medicine, assisted by Dr. Mashroof.
Program Highlights:
- Posture Management: Dr. Nishant Gemini emphasized the significance of maintaining proper posture to prevent musculoskeletal disorders, demonstrating practical techniques.
-Sports Injury Prevention: Dr. Aditya Jain elaborated on injury treatment, focusing on prevention and rehabilitation strategies.
-BLS & CPR Training:Dr. Devansh Gautam and Dr. Mashroof conducted an interactive CPR demonstration, allowing participants to engage in hands-on practice under expert supervision.
As a gesture of goodwill, students received complimentary treatment coupons from Primus Super Specialty Hospital. The program left a lasting impact, equipping attendees with vital health insights and life-saving techniques.
Global Roti Day
On the occasion of Global Roti Day i.e. 20th Oct 24' , An awareness walk from (Kashmere Gate ->Art Faculty, North Campus) was organised by a Non-Profit Organisation: Vishalakshi foundation under the leadership of NILAY AGGARWAL. The objective of the walk was to educate youth on minimising wastage of food, distribute food to needy people and tackle malnutrition in the longer run. It's an honour that 20 volunteers from UBA Unit of Deshbandhu College, joined this walk from Vidhan Sabha and enthusiastically participated till the walk terminated. Students willingly brought some edibles for donation and distributed it during the course of the walk to needy people. At destination point, students got enlightened by speech of PROF. RAJESH : Nodal officer of UBA. He gave insights on food safety and the role of demographic dividend in ensuring it. Lastly, 1000 food packets arranged from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib ,were distributed to needy people by all the assembled students. It was looked after by Overall Co-ordinator Poorva Pawar with 20 volunteers of team UBA.

Our interactive learning approach cultivates problem-solving skills and a passion for learning.
IN SULTANPUR VILLAGE ( MCD Primary model school ):
SESSION 1- (TREASURE HUNT, QUIZZES, ICEBREAKERS) – Build teamwork and explore, boost engagement and encourage learning, build confidence and connections.
SESSION2- LEARNING THROUGH STORIES – Through stories and role play, students learned important values in a fun and memorable way. Encourage students to think creatively and explore new ideas.
SESSION3- EMBRACING WELLNESS THROUGH YOGA – Encouraging mindfulness, balance, and strength. Nurturing healthy minds and bodies, one pose at a time.
Educational Visit
On November 8, 2024, the UBA Unit of Deshbandhu College embarked on a visit to Bhati Mines as part of our Outreach and Support Initiative, with the objective of evaluating the local primary and secondary schools. This endeavor was undertaken to gain deeper insights into the challenges faced by both students and staff, while also exploring potential avenues for collaboration to enrich the educational experience within the community. Through this visit, we identified a spectrum of needs within the schools and discerned key areas where our support could be most strategically and effectively directed.
Digital Data Protection Awareness Drive
On 17 th November 2024 the unnat bharat abhiyan unit of the deshbandhu college along with a team of seven dedicated volunteers, engaged with villagers, imparting essential knowledge on safeguarding personal information. The response was encouraging—many were eager to learn, though some remained skeptical or resistant. Undeterred, we focused on those willing to embrace digital safety.
Our campaign revolved around five key pillars:
1. Two-Step Verification– Reinforcing online security through an extra layer of protection.
2. Third-Party Data Access– Raising awareness about the dangers of granting access to unverified applications.
3. Digital Arrest– Teaching strategies to limit digital exposure and avoid unreliable platforms.
4. Secure Installations – Advocating for downloads only from verified sources.
5. Find My Device– Demonstrating quick recovery methods for lost devices.
Over three impactful hours, we left a lasting impression on many participants. Concluding our efforts, we celebrated with a small gathering at a local shop, indulging in samosas, imarti, and other regional delights—a fitting end to a fulfilling initiative.
Winter Donation Drive at Bhati Mines
On 5th December 2024 the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) of Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, organized a Winter Donation Drive at Bhati Mines, Chhatarpur village, providing warm clothing, blankets, and footwear to underprivileged residents, including children, the elderly, and vulnerable families. Led by village head Mohit Kumar and coordinated by Mohd Ayaan Solanki and Poorva Pawar, the drive saw dedicated volunteers sorting, packing, and distributing donations. The media team (Mayank and Daya Shankar) and content team (Mahek and Prachi) documented the event, highlighting community solidarity. Despite challenges like rugged terrain and logistical hurdles, the initiative benefited over 80 residents. Discussions revealed deeper issues, such as inadequate shelter and lack of heating, emphasizing the need for sustainable solutions. UBA aims to enhance community engagement, improve infrastructure, and implement long-term support systems, reinforcing the power of collective action in addressing social challenges.
