Welcome to 5th Grade Social Studies!

What’s up family,

Well I will just say that our class will be one for the history books. I am passionate about Social Studies because I believe that it is every humans right to know where they come from. To be honest, I didn’t know much about African American History until I was in college minoring in African American Studies!! Historians, this year we will explore the complexities of American History. We will dig up information and discover new things. Not just about African American History (although that matters a great deal), but also about Native societies, and Indigenous Cultures.

I look forward to traveling back in time and trekking across the globe with you. I cannot wait to see how your world is expanded right here in the classroom.
