Name plate project

Materials needed:

computer for designing and sending the code to the milling machine

milling machine

wood (16x5 minimum)

Process:

Create a sketch in Fusion 360

create the name wanted and customize

add connections into the text to make one piece

explode text

create the model for the piece of wood its going to be cut out of (16x6)

create the set up (set the orientation of the project and tell the program what's the model of the wood and what's the model of the name plate)

create the 2D contour with the correct settings for the CNC machine

create the .nc file for the project

email that file to the makerspace email

load into the CNC milling machine

drill out the name

cut out the tabs

sand it down

use finisher

let dry
