Process:
started by creating the backboard
used adobe illustrator to create the backboard
used adobe photoshop to create the sticker of a basketball and graffiti background and text on top saying "shoot your shot!"
print out the sticker
cut out the backboard
put the sticker onto the backboard
start designing the rim on the adobe illustrator software
use pins that get thin to wide as what keeps the rim in place
create the rim using simple shapes (circles and squares)
cut out the rim
use the pins to keep in place
What was challenging:
using a new software and creating the rim (took about 6 different versions)
What went well:
designing the backboard and sticker
What can I do next time:
make the first versions of the rim out of cardboard so its faster and easier to make
< first 4 versions (top left = without rim)
laser cutting one of the final versions v
Final version of the rim
