Stage 1:
The first stage went well with a few exceptions those being the fill, the stroke thickness, and, the actual key chain hole. The problem with the green fill was that it would be burned in with the black one so the carving would essentially become a black disc so after being told about this I set the fill to clear. The second problem was with the stroke thickness of the border because if it any more or less than 0.001 than it won't be cut. The last problem was that I didn't actually make a keychain hole ... so yeah.
Stage 2:
In the second stage I printed the design on the right and the engraving stage actually turned out very well. However, when the machine went to cut out the keychain hole it cut through the boundaries of the outline so I had to move to model 3.
Stage 3:
Overall, I think that the design phase of this project was my favorite and went the best for me. However, by far the most difficult part for me was making the tiny changes in order for it to be functional. Lastly, if I were ever to do this project again I would like to have a more intricate design for the housing of the engraving.
