The Great Gatsby Gala is an event with dancing, games, socializing, and silent auctions. This gala was a lot of fun and is planned to happen every year.
This is DaVinci's first ever Gala. This Gala happened on Saturday March 2nd 2024. Many different people helped with this amazing Gala like Mrs. Holly Fisher, Ms. Kelly Zender, Mrs. Summer Olson, Ms. Kristen Steinberg, and many parents the time it took to plan this big event was 9-10 months. Lalita and Avani had interviewed Mr. Dan Rhinhart about the Gala.
The DaVinci Gala happened on Saturday, March 2nd. Many teachers offered their time for the silent auctions. There were many great things to bid on such as: Paint & Sip with Mrs.Olson or Mrs.Maulik, Get a ride to school in a police car with one of the dads here at Davinci, Happy meal with a kindergarten teacher, Pizza party with Mrs.Muske, Soccer with Mrs.Clarke, Friendship bracelets with Ms.Mccarthy, pal for a day (take over for Ms.Zender), Movie and Dominos with Ms.Baker, Photo session with Mrs. Abena, rollerskating with Ms. Mary, Pancakes and ping pong with Mrs.Palzer, Barnes and Nobles with Mrs.Mannella, Como Zoo with Ms.Arboleda, Hangout with Ms.Hathaway, Messy Science with Ms. Arboleda, Take out lunch with Mrs.Urbaniak, Water Balloon fight with Mr.Clark, VIP seats for Dear Edwina Jr. Pancake brekfast with the 4th grade teachers. Pizza and painting with Mrs.Sweeney, Meet horses with Ms.Anderson, Craft time with Mrs.Johnson, and many more! All of these items picked or donated from local companies and familys at DaVinci.
"When did the gala start?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "We started in June of last year (2023) until March 2024 working on the Gala ( about 9-10 months)"
"What is the purpose of the Gala?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "The gala is a fundraiser"
"What is the target Davinci wants to raise?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "$50,000"
"What are things that happened at the Gala?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "There will be games, entertainment, singing, music, dinner and socializing."
"How did the planners pick Majestic Oaks Golf Club?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "The biggest reasons were space, cost, and availability."
"What will the money raised for the Gala go to?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "The money will go towards school enrichment and improvement."
"Why did you guys pick the Majestic Oaks Golf Club instead of Davinci to host the Gala?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "For the Budgeting,Listening for the food and drinks."
"The money from each prizes will it go to that teacher to pay for the prizes for the students?"
Mr. Rhinhart: "Auction money goes to the school. (split costs)"
