Counselor's Corner
We are in the midst of the DCPS “Be Kind” campaign. We are doing many activities to encourage kindness at Sorgho Elementary School including making compliments for classmates, a Kindness Challenge, and Kindness posters. Also, be on the lookout for a “Be Kind” yard card that may show up at your house!! Teachers will choose one student weekly who stands out as a great role model in the classroom for kindness. That student will be recognized on the school news and receive a “Be Kind” yard card!! Please encourage your child at home that KINDNESS really does MATTER!!!! We want to also recognize Sophie Sutton who stands out as a student who exemplifies kindness in the way she treats others at Sorgho School. Sophie was recognized for her Kindness in the latest issue of Owensboro Parent magazine. Check it out!!!
